1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

i-Restore GmbH
St. Leonhard-Strasse 35, Neumarkt 1
9000 St. Gallen
Switzerland
Email: [email protected]

2. General

In this privacy policy, we inform you, in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in force since 1 September 2023) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which personal data we collect on our website, how we use it and what rights you have in this regard.

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions.

3. Collection of general information when you visit the website

When you access our website, information of a general nature is collected automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example:

  • Type of web browser
  • Operating system used
  • Domain name of your internet service provider
  • Your IP address (anonymised)
  • Date and time of access
  • Pages visited

This data is collected to ensure the smooth operation of the website and to improve our services. We are not able to attribute this data to a specific person.

Our website is hosted by cyon GmbH in Basel (Switzerland). It is delivered via the Cloudflare network (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which makes the website faster and protects it against attacks. In the process, your requests and technical data such as your IP address pass through Cloudflare servers, including outside Switzerland. Cloudflare is certified under the Data Privacy Framework between Switzerland, the EU and the USA.

4. Contact form, requests and orders

If you send us requests via the contact form or by email, the information you provide in the request form, including the contact details you enter there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and in case of follow-up questions.

4.1 Data collected

We collect the following data via the contact form:

  • First name and surname
  • Email address
  • Selected store
  • Subject and message

4.2 Use of Web3Forms

We use the Web3Forms service (operated by Web3Forms.com) to process form entries. When you submit the form, the data you have entered is transmitted to the Web3Forms servers and forwarded from there to our email address.

Web3Forms stores submission data for transmission and spam protection. For more information, please see the Web3Forms privacy policy: https://web3forms.com/privacy-policy

4.3 Retention period

The data you send us via the contact form or by email will be stored by us until you ask us to delete it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after we have finished processing your request). Mandatory statutory retention obligations, in particular retention periods under the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO), remain unaffected.

4.4 Requests via the price calculator

When you send a request in the price calculator, we transmit your name, your phone number, your email address, the selected store, any preferred appointment, your comment and the selected repairs via our server by email to our store. You will receive a confirmation by email. If you choose to send it via WhatsApp, WhatsApp opens with your request (see section 7.4). For devices that are not listed in the price calculator, you can send a request stating the brand, model, defect and your contact details. Like the contact form, it is processed via Web3Forms (see section 4.2).

4.5 Repair order by post

For a repair order by post, you enter your contact and address details, information about the device (brand, model, optionally the IMEI or serial number and the passcode or unlock pattern), the description of the defect, comments, any accessories enclosed, the type of order and your electronic signature. This information is stored on our server and used only to process this order: confirmation, quote, invoice, shipping and your personal status page. We use the passcode or pattern exclusively for the function test. It is deleted as soon as your device has been returned or the order has been cancelled.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website itself does not set any cookies. So that the form for repairs by post works properly, your browser remembers during your visit whether it is switched on. This information is held in the browser’s session storage and is deleted when you close the window.

Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies to protect against attacks. Google Analytics only sets web analytics cookies for visits from Switzerland (see section 6).

6. Web analytics with Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; “Google”). Google Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of the use of the website, for example by recording page views and pages visited.

6.1 Privacy-friendly configuration

We use Google Analytics exclusively in a privacy-friendly configuration:

  • IP address: Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. The IP address is only used to determine your approximate location (country, region).
  • Visits from Switzerland: Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, lifetime up to 2 years) to recognise returning visits. You can object at any time (see section 6.4).
  • Visits from the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom: No analytics cookies are set without your consent. Google only receives measurement signals without cookies and without an identifier.
  • No advertising features: Advertising cookies and personalised advertising are switched off.
  • No Google Signals: Cross-device tracking is disabled.

6.2 Data collected

The data collected in this way includes, among other things:

  • Browser and operating system used
  • Device type (mobile/desktop)
  • Approximate location (country/region)
  • Pages visited and time spent on them
  • Source of the visit (e.g. search engine)

6.3 Data transfer to the USA

Google Analytics may involve a transfer of data to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA / Data Processing Addendum) with Google.

For more information, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

6.4 Objection

You can prevent tracking by Google Analytics at any time by installing the corresponding browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

7. Third-party services

7.1 Fonts

The Lato font is hosted on our own server. Your browser does not connect to any third parties to display the fonts.

7.2 Google Maps

We do not embed any maps. The links “Route planner” and “Open in Google Maps” only take you to Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited) once you click on them. Google’s privacy policy then applies.

7.3 Google reviews

We display the Google reviews of our stores using our own function. Our server retrieves the reviews via Google’s interface (Google Places API) and caches them. Your browser does not connect to Google for this, and none of your data is transmitted to Google. Google’s privacy policy only applies once you click a link to Google.

7.4 WhatsApp

You can send us a message using the WhatsApp button. The button is part of our website and does not load anything from WhatsApp. Only when you send the message does WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited) open, and your message is transmitted via WhatsApp. WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies to this: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea

8. Your rights

You have the following rights with regard to the personal data concerning you:

  • Right of access to the data stored
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure of your data
  • Right to restriction of data processing
  • Right to object to the processing
  • Right to data portability

To exercise these rights, please contact us by email at [email protected].

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) if you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable law:

10. Data security

We take technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or destruction. This website is transmitted using SSL/TLS encryption, which you can recognise by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

11. Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time in order to adapt it to changes in legal or factual circumstances. You will always find the current version on this page.
