1. Scope and contracting parties

1.1 These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter “GTC”) apply to all repair and other services provided under the brand “i-Restore”, both for on-site repairs in the stores and for repairs by post.

1.2 In Switzerland, the “i-Restore” brand is operated by two independent companies:

i-Restore GmbH (UID: CHE‑423.750.108)
St. Leonhard-Strasse 35, 9000 St. Gallen
Responsible for the St. Gallen store

repair&more GmbH (UID: CHE‑190.331.351)
Bahnhofstrasse 41, 5000 Aarau
Responsible for the Aarau and Wettingen stores

The repair contract is concluded with the GmbH that is responsible for the store or order concerned. Both are referred to below uniformly as the “Provider”.

1.3 Any deviating terms and conditions of the Customer shall not be recognised unless the Provider expressly agrees to their validity in writing.

2. Conclusion of contract

2.1 For on-site repairs in a store, the contract is concluded when the device is accepted and the repair order is confirmed (orally or in writing).

2.2 For repairs by post, the contract is concluded when the Customer confirms the quote in writing and the Provider receives payment.

2.3 The Provider is entitled to refuse repair orders without giving reasons, in particular for devices that cannot be repaired or where theft is suspected.

3. Prices and diagnosis fee

3.1 All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) and include VAT, labour and materials, unless expressly stated otherwise.

3.2 Shipping both ways for repairs by post is free of charge for the Customer.

3.3 Diagnosis fee: If, after a diagnosis, it turns out that the device cannot be repaired or the Customer decides against a repair, a diagnosis fee of CHF 50.– to CHF 100.– (phones CHF 50.–, tablets CHF 80.–, laptops CHF 100.–) may be charged. This fee does not apply if the repair is ordered and carried out.

3.4 The Provider reserves the right to change prices at any time. The price valid at the time the contract is concluded shall apply.

3.5 For multiple repairs on the same device, the Provider grants a combo discount of 30 % on each additional repair.

4. Payment terms

4.1 The following means of payment are accepted in the stores:

  • Cash
  • Debit and credit cards (American Express also accepted in St. Gallen)
  • PostFinance Card
  • TWINT

4.2 For repairs by post, payment is made before the repair via the payment link in the invoice: TWINT, credit or debit card, PostFinance Card, PostFinance Pay, PayPal or prepayment.

4.3 Payment on invoice is available exclusively to business customers from their fourth order onwards. Payment term: 30 days net.

4.4 In the event of late payment, the Provider will send a maximum of two reminders. A fee of CHF 20.– is charged for the second reminder. In the event of non-payment, debt enforcement proceedings will be initiated. Default interest is charged at a rate of 5 % p.a. (pursuant to Art. 104 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO)). Claims for damages as well as reminder and debt enforcement fees are reserved.

5. Repair process and repair time

5.1 Standard repairs (screen, battery, housing) are usually carried out on site within 30 to 60 minutes, provided the required spare part is in stock.

5.2 If a spare part is not in stock, the Customer will be informed in advance. The delivery time is usually 1–5 working days.

5.3 For repairs by post, the repair is usually carried out on the same day once payment has been received (provided the spare part is in stock), and the device is returned by A Mail.

5.4 The times stated are guidelines. Delays due to missing spare parts, a high volume of orders or unforeseeable defects do not entitle the Customer to claim damages.

6. Warranty

6.1 The Provider grants a 12-month warranty on every repair, starting from the invoice date. The warranty covers:

  • The fault-free functioning of the spare part installed
  • The professional execution of the repair

6.2 Excluded from the warranty is damage resulting from:

  • Dropping, impact, breakage or other mechanical force after the repair
  • Contact with liquids or moisture
  • Heat, cold, pressure
  • Improper handling or inadequate care
  • Software or firmware errors, updates or upgrades
  • Viruses, dirt or dust
  • Your own repair attempts or interventions by third parties after the repair

6.3 Warranty claims are remedied free of charge on presentation of the original invoice. The warranty is valid in all three stores.

6.4 In the event of a justified warranty claim, the Provider will, at its discretion, either repair the affected part free of charge or replace it free of charge. Any further claims, in particular for damages, are excluded.

7. Liability and data loss

7.1 The Provider is liable only for damage it has caused intentionally or through gross negligence. In any case, liability is limited to the value of the repair or the value of the device (market value at the time of the repair).

7.2 Data loss: A standard repair (screen, battery, housing) does not usually result in any loss of data. However, the Provider strongly recommends making a full backup of the device before any repair. No liability is accepted for the loss of data, including as a result of unavoidable interventions such as software restores in the case of logic board damage.

7.3 In the case of water damage, the Provider expressly points out that the success rate is 30–40 % and that a repair cannot be guaranteed despite every effort.

7.4 The Provider is not liable for force majeure, interference by third parties, improper operation or unsuitable operating materials.

8. Collection and storage of repaired devices

8.1 The Customer undertakes to collect the repaired device from the store within 30 days of being notified.

8.2 After 30 days, a storage fee of CHF 1.– per day will be charged.

8.3 If the device has not been collected after 90 days and the Customer does not respond to two written requests, ownership of the device passes to the Provider. The Provider is entitled to sell or dispose of the device. Any outstanding repair costs remain unaffected by this.

9. Complaints

9.1 Complaints must be reported immediately after the defect is discovered, but no later than 14 days after collection or receipt of the device.

9.2 Complaints can be submitted in any store or by email to [email protected].

9.3 In the case of justified complaints, the Provider will remedy the defect free of charge or, if this is not possible, refund the repair costs.

10. Data protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy. By placing the repair order, the Customer consents to the processing of their data for the purpose of handling the order.

11. Copyright

All content on this website (texts, photos, logos, graphics, scripts) is protected by copyright and may not be copied, modified or otherwise used without the express written consent of the Provider.

Third-party brands and product names (e.g. Apple, Samsung, Google, Huawei) are the property of their respective trademark owners and are used on this website for descriptive purposes only. The Provider is not an authorised service partner of the manufacturers mentioned, unless expressly indicated otherwise.

12. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

12.1 All contracts between the Customer and the Provider are governed exclusively by Swiss law.

12.2 The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is:

  • For contracts with i-Restore GmbH: the ordinary court in St. Gallen
  • For contracts with repair&more GmbH: the ordinary court in Aarau

12.3 For business relationships with consumers, the place of jurisdiction is determined by the mandatory provisions of the Swiss Civil Procedure Code (CPC), in particular Art. 32 CPC.

13. Final provisions

13.1 Should individual provisions of these GTC be or become invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by the statutory provision that comes closest to the purpose pursued by the invalid provision.

13.2 Amendments or additions to these GTC must be made in writing. The Provider reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. The version valid at the time the contract is concluded shall apply.
