The back cover is the rear of the Motorola Moto G9 Power: it closes off the housing at the back and protects the battery and internals from dust and knocks.

When the back cover needs replacing

• The back has cracked or broken after a fall.
• The cover sticks out at one edge or has come loose.
• The back is so badly scratched or damaged that you want to replace it.

Service Pack: original part from Motorola

The part comes from the official Motorola spare parts programme and carries the manufacturer part number 5S58C18054 – the same component an authorised repair centre installs, not a copy.

What installation involves

The back cover is glued on. It is loosened with heat; afterwards all adhesive residue must be removed thoroughly before the new cover is fitted and pressed on evenly for a while.
